About The Project

“A Caring Commuting Culture, An Inclusive Public Transport for all” photography exhibition is organised by the Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), in partnership with the Public Transport Council (PTC), to showcase the efforts of the public agencies, public transport operators and commuters in making Singapore’s public transport inclusive.

As part of the exhibition, PSS organised a Masterclass workshop, led by award-winning professional photographer Mr William Chua, and saw the participation of 11 photographers from the PSS. The exhibition features 71 photographs which tell the story of how everyone plays a part in fostering a caring commuting culture – be it through ground-up initiatives, co-creation projects or community involvement events with stakeholders and partners. Fujifilm is participating as PSS’ sponsor for the project.

Mr Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment & Ministry of Transport, will open the exhibition on 25 June 2024.

PTC partnered the public transport operators, Go-Ahead Singapore, SBS Transit, SMRT and Tower Transit Singapore for this project. The operators opened their caring commuter events and programmes to the photographers, giving them the opportunity capture memorable moments for the exhibition. All the photoshoots were at events held in April 2024.
