Four Young Caring SG Commuters Web Games were introduced to the public during the launch of Caring Commuter Week held at Bedok Town Square on 9 November 2024. These web games were co-created by the Caring SG Commuters Committee and Year 3 students from Singapore Polytechnic’s Media, Arts and Design School, as part of their final year projects. These students are pursuing the Diploma in Media, Arts & Design specialising in Game Design and Development (GDD), Animation and Game Art (AGA), and Music Production (MPD).
2 Targeted at primary school students, these games aimed to educate young commuters about the Four Caring Norms (Give Care, Give a Hand, Give Time and Give Thanks) and the 3As of “Assess, Ask and Assist”. Each game, representing a different genre, guides players through various public transport scenarios, teaching students how they can identify and assist vulnerable commuters.
Caring Journeys with Commuter Champion Genre of game: Casual puzzle game
Objective of game: Players will learn to apply the 3As (Assess, Ask, Assist) when they encounter vulnerable commuters in a busy public transport environment.
Gameplay duration: 20 to 30 mins
Gameplay: Players are to move and hover their mouse around the public transport setting to identify vulnerable commuters and learn how to help them through exploration, meaningful interactions, and engaging mini-games. My Caring Journey Genre of game: Semi-open world, isometric puzzle game
Objective of game: Players will learn to identify and help vulnerable commuters on public transport.
Gameplay duration: 20 to 30 mins
Gameplay: In a 3D semi-open world game, players encounter different scenarios while taking public transport to and from school. Through different levels, they will help vulnerable commuters, solve puzzles and answer questions promptly to accomplish various tasks before time runs out.

Rush Hour: 4 'Gives' on the Go Genre of game: Management simulator
Objective of game: Players will learn to recognise vulnerable commuters and assist them on public transport using the Four Caring Norms.
Gameplay duration: 15 to 20 mins
Gameplay: Players help to manage public transport settings such as at train stations, bus interchanges and within buses/trains etc, and to keep a lookout for vulnerable commuters while also keeping the environment clean. Caring Heroes Genre of game: Endless runner
Objective of game: Players will acquire a broader understanding of how to identify and offer assistance to vulnerable commuters.
Gameplay duration: 10 to 20 mins
Gameplay: Played as a ‘Endless runner’, players will run across various levels by dodging pedestrians, spotting and assisting vulnerable commuters, as well as answering commuting-related questions to earn bonus points.
Suitable for: Lower primary school students

3 These web games serve as an educational resource for parents and teachers to inculcate caring behaviours on public transport in young children. They are also designed to encourage interaction and bonding between parents and children. The games are optimised for desktop and laptop and the public is encouraged to use a mouse for gameplay.
4 Members of public can visit the “Ride with Me” Exhibition held at Bedok Town Square from 9 to 24 November 2024 to try out the web games. They may also visit the Caring SG Commuters portal at www.caringcommuters.gov.sg/caring-commuter-week-2024 to play the games.
